Doing a multi-sourced literature review within higher education literature and synthesizing key research ideas and findings in a paper/scholarly workshop can seem like a daunting task. In this hands-on session, you will have the opportunity to produce a rough outline of your main deliverable (paper or mini-workshop) and receive feedback on the effectiveness of your plan. Through a series of guided exercises and dedicated writing time, you will be able to make progress on your paper/workshop and receive feedback from your peers, CTE facilitators and a consultant from the Writing and Communication Centre.
You should attend this working session if:
- you have your 10 key literature sources submitted on Waterloo LEARN and approved by CTE
- you have read at least 5 of your articles (if you read more, that’s great!)
- Optional: completion of the writeonline.ca module on writing literature reviews
You should bring to this session:
- your laptop or writing device of your own choice (e.g., notebook, paper, post-it notes)
- your 10 (or more) articles – hard or soft copies
- outline or rough draft of the paper/workshop (i.e., main section headings with bullet point notes explaining what you will discuss)

- Registration is limited to CUT participants enrolled in GS 902 who have completed the Research Project (CTE146) workshop.
