Description: This 90-minute workshop will provide a brisk overview of five different types of educational technologies. All of them are fairly easy to use and implement, and can have a powerful and positive effect on your teaching and your students’ learning.

1.     Question Facilitation Tools: Google Moderator, Top Hat, Piazza

2.     Classroom Engagement Tools: Clickers

3.     Social Bookmarking Tools: Diigo

4.     Screencasting Tools: Camtasia

5.     Concept Mapping Tools: CmapTools

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

1.     Describe the basic functionality of each tool

2.     Describe the pedagogical benefit of each tool

3.     Locate further resources about the tools that are of particular interest
