Friday, March 3, 2017 11:15 am - 12:15 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

Slogan: grade anywhere any time
Location : EV1 241 Notes: Open to faculty and staff (registration is required)

Description: Online submission and grading offers a number of small but important benefits for the management of assignments and tests in a course of any size, but especially in courses with large attendance:

  • online submission saves time for students and markers and reduces the chance of misplaced papers.
  • online marking eliminates markers waiting for papers to grade.
  • online grades are available automatically.
  • online marked papers can be backed up and be available for student meetings.

This session introduces a new tool named Crowdmark that is available free for UWaterloo courses. It is an online system for the distribution, collection, grading and return of assignment papers and tests. You will get to evaluate the system first hand from both student and instructor points-of-view for comparison to your current method of assignment management. Also briefly introduced will be a companion UWaterloo system, the Examination Management System which provides examination printing and seat assignment services.
