Abstract:
This workshop will provide participants with a model for
running student debates in technical courses. Methodologies
will be presented for conducting a debate to develop student communication and critical thinking skills. Participants will have an opportunity to experience learning through debates and to discuss how this method can be adapted to their teaching contexts.
Notes:
- Participants will receive an attendance credit if they arrive on time and stay until the end of the event.
- A maximum of two special topic workshops can be counted towards your Fundamentals certificate.
