“Choose something that you’re genuinely interested in. That’s where you’re going to produce your best work. And we’re you’ll have the least amount of regrets.”

I’d advise you to ask current students, as well as alumni!

What are the top skills you’ve learned that will help you be employable after you graduate?

I’d say interview skills. And the ability to market yourself.

What’s your advice for students trying to choose between co-op and non-co-op?

If you’re going to choose to non-co-op route, take initiative and get experience that will help you in your career path.

Do you get a lot of hands-on experience in your classes?

Yes! There are several mandatory labs that you take in Kinesiology. These are where you take the material you’ve learned in lectures and you apply it.

Number one tip for balancing social life and school?

I’d say, just get a little bit of work done every day and you’ll be much more efficient.

Tip for brand new Kinesiology students, in their first week, to meet people?

Talk to everyone! The person sitting beside you. The people in your Orientation group. The people in your labs. It’s your first week - everyone is just trying to make new friends as well!
