Planning to study Honours Arts, Honours Arts and Business, or one of the 28 majors in the Faculty of Arts? Looking for a smaller community for your studies?
You can choose to "co-register" and complete your Waterloo degree through St. Jerome's University (SJU), where you'll receive a liberal arts experience in the heart of Waterloo's main campus.
St. Jerome's is like a university within a university, but with a difference you can feel, and is a great choice if you're pursuing Waterloo Honours Arts or Honours Arts and Business at Waterloo. You’ll have all of the benefits of being a Waterloo student, including earning a respected Waterloo Bachelor of Arts degree, but at the same time, enjoy the benefits of a smaller university community.
What is co-registration?
Co-registration means that you’ll be both a Waterloo student and a student at St. Jerome’s. Combining a Waterloo degree with a St. Jerome's experience means you'll have access to additional entrance and upper-year scholarships; small class sizes; opportunities to develop skills in leadership, civic engagement, event planning; and additional academic and personal support throughout your undergraduate experience.
Whether you register through the main campus or St. Jerome's, you'll
- graduate with a valuable Waterloo degree,
- have the same admission requirements,
- be able to take courses on the main campus and at any of our four University Colleges,
- pay the same tuition,
- be able to live in any Waterloo residence,
- have full access to our world-class co-op program, and
- be able to use all of Waterloo's athletic and recreation facilities and to join student clubs.
