The SEE Canada Grant deadline extended to June 15th
We are pleased to announce that we are extending the deadline for applications for the Staff Enhancement Experience (SEE) Canada grant program to June 15th.
New Benefits Rates effective May 1, 2024
On May 1st of each year, the University of Waterloo’s extended health, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability (LTD) benefits are typically subject to a contract renewal. Where applicable, new rates are applied, and employee deductions processed.

This shift calls for a more holistic approach to retirement planning, one that includes the often-overlooked non-financial aspects. How will you spend this new chapter of life meaningfully? Join Waterloo alumni Simon Chan (BA ‘98) and Kyra Jones (BSc ‘09, PhD ‘14), both featured recently in Waterloo Magazine, along with special guest retirees including Mike Drak, Canadian best-selling author on the non-financial aspects of retirement, and Waterloo Retiree and former OHD Director, Katrina Di Gravio, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a thought-provoking webinar on reimagining retirement. Exploring Your VIA Character Strengths
Format: Online workshop
Knowing your strengths and how to use them is essential to your career growth and development. This workshop will explore our strengths using the VIA Character Strengths assessment. We will explore how our strengths can be used in new ways at work and at home. We will learn how to spot and appreciate strengths in others, including our work colleagues, and create stronger connections with them.
Keeping Well at Work: Handle with Care: Conflict Resolution in the Workplace
Format: Online workshop
Conflicts stem from many different sources. Understanding when and how to apply a variety of different conflict resolution strategies can prevent unnecessary hardship. This one-hour virtual session will review strategies to defuse anger and conflict so that difficult situations in the workplace can be resolved respectfully.
