For the second year in a row, the University of Waterloo has received a Canada’s Best Diversity Employer award. In early March, representatives from Human Resources, Organizational & Human Development and the Equity Office accepted the award at a ceremony in Toronto.
The Accessibility Committee has published the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (MYAP) after engaging in consultation with the University community.
Staff performance appraisal season is now upon us. Please ensure that you review, document and discuss your performance for 2018 with your manager. Your performance appraisal should include a meaningful discussion that highlights your accomplishments and goals. Performance appraisals are due March 15, 2019.
Time entry and manager approval of time must be completed in Workday by end of day Monday, January 14th in order to be paid on Friday, January 18th.
Workday, the new HR system for the University of Waterloo launched on Monday. With the transition to the brand new system, the Support Centre is receiving a high volume of inquiries and is working quickly to respond. After 18 months of efforts by more than 40 staff from both Human Resources and Information Systems & Technology, employees at Waterloo will now have access to the new HR system, Workday.

More than 70 departments were represented at the Workday Mini Town Hall, hosted by Human Resources on November 27. The event provided employees with an opportunity to learn more about training, resources, and support through the transition to the new HR system.
