On Wednesday, August 17^th, the Human Resources department will be launching a new UWaterloo Talent Acquisition System (iCIMS) to enhance the user experience for campus hiring managers, approvers, candidates and the Talent Acquisition Staff. The new system will support staff, CUPE, and secondment roles. Faculty roles will not be impacted. Changes to how we recruit our talent are aligned to the strategic goal of being a destination of choice for superior individuals seeking employment.

For staff hiring managers, please note the following key dates for job postings as a result of the upcoming Civic holiday and the UWaterloo Talent Acquisition System (iCIMS) launch:

As Canada Post has reversed their position on a possible lockout, mailing of Payroll cheques has resumed. 

Cheques for the bi-weekly pay of July 8th that would have normally been sent out in the mail will be sent to Central Stores for distribution by Canada Post today (Tuesday, July 12th).

Due to the possible lockout/strike at Canada Post, Human Resources (HR) will not be mailing out any payroll cheques until further notice. All payments issued by cheque will be held for pick-up in HR until there is no threat of a lockout/strike or, should a lockout/strike occur, until service through Canada Post has resumed. (Please note that this will not affect employees who receive their pay by direct deposit into their bank account).

Human Resources and Information Systems & Technology (IST) are migrating the myHRinfo system infrastructure to a new environment for better disaster recovery support. As part of this project, myHRinfo and access to all employee records will be unavailable to all users, including Human Resources, from Friday June 24^th at 4 pm until Tuesday June 28^th at 8 am for a scheduled transition.  

The myPENSIONinfo service will be unavailable on May 25th, 2016 for scheduled maintenance.

Please note that due to the upcoming Victoria Day holiday we have had to change our recruitment deadlines. Managers wishing to have their jobs posted on Wednesday, May 25^th must submit a posting for approval in PeopleSoft no later than Wednesday, May 18^th at 4:30 PM.

The group benefits contracts that cover the University of Waterloo’s life insurance, extended health, dental, and long term disability benefits are renewed each May 1.

The rates are effective May 1, 2016 and are provided in the benefit premium section.
