The Pay Equity Act (the “Act”) requires the University to follow compensation practices that ensure employees in female job classes are paid at least as much as employees in male job classes of comparable value. The University issued its first plans for compliance on January 1, 1990 and has been committed to meeting pay equity requirements since the Act’s inception.
REMINDER: Vacation credits greater than 10 days will automatically be carried over in Workday until August 31, 2020. Please refer to the memo released about Staff vacation carryover on April 29, 2020.
Members of the University of Waterloo Pension Plan for Faculty and Staff look forward to receiving their annual pension statement each year in June. We understand the importance of member statements; receiving complete, accurate and timely information about pension benefits and available options is key to making well-informed decisions.
Due to the unprecedented challenges of COVID-9, the 2019 annual pension statements will be mailed to plan members’ home address in August 2020. We appreciate your understanding given these challenging times.
