Doctoral students: Complete this form to propose an in-depth analysis of a specific topic of interest not normally covered in one of the existing graduate courses.

  • Before you complete the form, approach a member of the faculty and agree on a program of study that would be followed to meet the requirements for this course, including the course content and methods of evaluation.
  • The particular topics for a given term will be determined by the interests of the faculty and participating students.
  • The form of study may include a literature review or the planning and execution of an independent research study leading to a major paper.

Once these details are established, complete and submit the form below within the first three weeks of the term.

After the form is submitted and approved, the Graduate Program Manager will set up the course topic on the graduate schedule of classes and instruct you to then enrol in the course via Quest.
