As a part of the 50th Anniversary festivities for the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, a new competition has been born. The first annual University of Waterloo Sport Management Case Competition will bring together teams of undergraduate students enrolled in sport-related disciplines from across the province as they work together to find solutions to a “real life” managerial issue facing a provincially-based sport organization.
Stay tuned for details regarding our alumni involvement, on-campus contacts, and registration information.

We are pleased to feature one of our prominent alumni, Mano Watsa, and his organization Point Guard College as the organizational context for the inaugural competition. Teams will be required to formulate and present solutions from a variety of different areas of sport management including: Marketing, Financing, and Leadership.
