Digital disinformation presents a mounting threat to, and challenge for, liberal democracies. This interdisciplinary workshop presented by Waterloo's Cybersecurity and Privacy Institue will bring together the academic community, industry, civil society, and government. The goal is to outline and assess the evolving threat of digital disinformation while also providing direction and guidance on how to protect liberal democracies like Canada from weaponized digital disinformation.
Rock This Town brings to life the exciting history of rock music concerts in KW from the 1960s and 1970s with an insider’s look into the local live music scene.
The documentary was produced by Betty Anne Keller (BA '69), who has extensive history of promoting arts in the Region of Waterloo, first as a concert promoter, and later as a municipal employee. She still works in the promotion of the local arts scene, with Rock This Town being her latest effort.

Chris Williams, BA ’91 (Fine Arts), is a Canadian animator, film director, screenwriter and voice actor who has directed many animated movies and worked many beloved films of the last three decades --Mulan, Lilo & Stitch and Frozen, to name a few. Big Hero 6, which Chris directed, and won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Other films which were nominated for Oscars included Bolt (for Best Animated Feature) and Moana (for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song).
