Going to class and learning form your professor is just part of your Waterloo education. Regardless of which program you're in, there are many ways to enrich your learning outside the classroom.

Co-op

Take what you learn in class and apply it during paid co-op work terms relating to your program. Try out career areas before you graduate – and benefit from our network of 6,700 employers.

Student teams

From solar cars and submarine racing to rocketry and autonomous sailboats, students from all programs are able to join our student design teams.

Be a leader

Polish your leadership abilities and add marketable skills to your résumé by earning Waterloo's Student Leadership Certificate.

 

Work or study abroad

An international exchange or co-op work term is a great way to experience a new culture, learn a  language, and add a global perspective to your degree.

Hands-on courses

You won't just sit in a classroom at Waterloo. Most courses feature labs, discussion groups, field trips, or projects.
