SKIP THE LINE with the UW Food Services App!

UW Food Services in App StoreHungry but running late to class? Want to skip the long line at lunch time at Brubakers in SLC? Can the unnecessary waiting time be used to study for tomorrow’s exam, instead?

Then, I recommend downloading and using the recently launched UW Food Services app to pre-order food from BruBakers using a Student Watcard or a credit card to pay.

The app offers many options to order from, including Subway, Pizza Pizza, Pita Pit, Shawarma Hub, and Quesada any time the eateries are open and from anywhere on campus. Not just that, the app offers a distinctive feature that if someone, like me, eats the same thing almost every time from any of these locations, I can reorder the same food items without having to enter the same details constantly. I am talking about real efficiency here.

When I first heard about this app’s launching, the very first thing I questioned was, “Where was this app when I was in first, second, or even third year?” Seriously, I am currently mourning all of the long line waits that I could’ve used instead for studying or even socializing with friends a little bit longer during my study breaks.

Did I mention that there is also a reward points system for simply using different functions of the app to enter contests? I get points for every dollar spent on the app, bonus points when I reorder from the “Reorder Tab,” more points for ordering on back-to-back days, more points when I invite my friends, earn more points for rating and reviewing an order, and more. The point is that the contests offer very exciting rewards, including significant discounts on food items! I’ve already gathered enough points within two days to enter a contest!
