As of July 22, 2025, Sentio Counsellor-Assisted Internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT) will be available as part of our EFAP benefit with Homewood Health. 

This new platform is designed to enhance hiring procedures, deliver a better recruiting experience for candidates, and provide University administrators with information to support data-driven decision making.

The Pension & Benefits Committee approved changes effective January 1st, 2024.

What does this mean?

The amount available for reimbursement has increased to the new maximum as outlined above. For example, the coverage for paramedical practitioners (e.g., physiotherapy) has an annual reimbursement maximum of $841, instead of $811 per year.

Information on the performance process for 2023. 

As we approach the end of the year, the official change in our benefit plan provider from Canada Life to Green Shield Canada (GSC) on January 1, 2023 is fast approaching. As part of our communication and change management plan to support our employees with this transition, welcome kits from GSC have been mailed to your home address on file with the University.  

• Employees participating in benefits should ensure their address on Workday is current
• Your new Green Shield Canada membership kits and ID cards will be mailed based on the address on file
• Please update your address in Workday before November 21

On January 1, 2023, the University’s provider for extended health and dental benefits is changing from Canada Life to Green Shield Canada. Welcome kits with new benefit ID cards will be delivered to home addresses of plan members (eligible employees and retirees) by Green Shield Canada in early December 2022.
