An overview of the collective agreements and memorandums of agreement between the University of Waterloo and its various bargaining units.
The Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo (FAUW) is the official representative of the bargaining unit that includes all regular faculty at the University, who hold definite term, probationary, tenured, or continuing appointments.
The University of Waterloo Staff Association (UWSA) is the official representative of the bargaining unit that represents staff employees.
Unionized staff members in the Food Services and Plant Operations departments are represented by the CUPE Local 793. The membership covers a range of positions from kitchen porters, cooks, and bakers to custodians, grounds staff, trades, and maintenance staff and stationary engineers.
The University of Waterloo Special Constable Service members are represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).
