Convocation is a special time for our graduates to celebrate their achievements with family and friends.

University of Waterloo's Fall Convocation ceremony for the Faculty of Health takes place Friday, October 24 at 2:30 p.m. (procession starts at 2:10 p.m.) in the Physical Activities Complex (PAC).

Post-convocation celebration

Graduates: Come celebrate your status as a Waterloo alumnus at the official convocation celebration on the B.C. Matthews Hall (BMH) Green following the ceremony.

Graduates and their guests are invited to celebrate with classmates, professors and staff who supported them through their Waterloo student experience. Commemorate the occasion with photo opportunities, grad gifts, or degree frames. No reservations required.

Highlights

  • Judge Albert Wong (BSc Kinesiology) to receive Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, recognizing outstanding achievement through service to society. Judge Wong will deliver a public talk, Servant leadership: Reflections and lessons learned from 49 years of service to Canada, on October 23.
  • Caryl Russell (BSc, MSc Kinesiology) to be named Honorary Member of the University in recognition of outstanding service to the University
  • Kelly McManus (PhD Recreation and Leisure Studies) to speak as the class valedictorian
