Here's your chance to learn about what you could experience while working and living in San Francisco....straight from a Waterloo alumni who's currently based in this awesome city.

Ever thought about applying for a co-op work term in San Francisco? Or moving there? And wanted to know what it's really like to live and work there? Things like: is the food good? Will I be bored after work? How much should I budget for housing costs?

Here's your chance to get your questions answered.

During this webinar, you'll learn about:

  • Living arrangements (prices, spaces, locations etc.)
  • How to get around the city
  • What the food is like
  • Where you can find networking opportunities
  • How you can prepare for the work culture
  • Plus, Jack will answer your questions live!

Meet your webinar host, Jack!

Headshot of webinar host, Jack.

Jack is a Waterloo Management Engineering grad who currently lives in San Francisco and is CEO of the company he co-founded, Kopa

He fell in love with the west coast after going to high school in Seattle and used his co-op work terms to explore Silicon Valley. Although Jack aspired to be a "cleaning lady" when he was very young (thanks to his outstanding cleaning and organizational skills), he discovered a passion for engineering by the time he was about 10.

Jack loves to be busy. He’s on four different soccer teams in San Francisco and plays multiple times a week, while also actively managing Faros. His favourite part of San Francisco is the “founder spirit”. It’s a place where big innovation is happening, the community is supportive and failure isn't something to be afraid of.

This webinar is over, but here's a recording of it!
