  • Please note the data shown represents a calendar year.
  • Salary data is often difficult to display accurately as different firms remunerate their staff in different ways. For example, some charitable organization running camps may provide food and lodging and transportation reimbursements combined with a fairly low hourly wage. These anomalies have been filtered out of the data.
  • Furthermore, a class demographic, such as an unusually high number of students working within the GTA may significantly raise the hourly rate and present unusual discrepancies with the same disciplines, but in different work terms. That is why the range must be considered with an appropriate accommodation of the company’s location and comparable cost of living adjustment.
  • The hourly earnings do not reflect overtime, which in some companies during peak work cycles may be significant, if indeed it is paid. Often, time off in lieu of other benefits such as free training, are offered as alternatives to actual pay. These amounts and benefits are not included in the Hourly Earnings Information.
