Global Business and Digital Arts
Have a mind for business and a flair for design?
Hone the creative, technical, and business skills you need to thrive in a fast-evolving world.
In this unique program, you’ll spend your first year at Waterloo's main campus, where you'll gain a solid foundation linking creative design, globalization, business ethics, economics, and marketing.
For your final three years, you'll move to our Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business, located 45 kilometres west of the main campus. There, you'll develop design-driven solutions to social problems and create new forms of cultural expressions in a global context. And thanks to our project-based approach, you’ll also hone your collaboration and project management skills.
What courses will you take in Global Business and Digital Arts?
First-year courses
As an Arts student, you’ll choose your major at the end of first year. You’re encouraged to explore a second major in first year to discover potential new interests.
You will also take an Arts First course in your first year. In this course, instead of going to a lecture hall, you and your classmates will work together to respond to an intriguing challenge. With only 25 students in each of these first-year courses, you might address topics such as The Science of Happiness, Are We Erasing History?, Games and Culture, and Writing About Poems and Songs.
This is a sample schedule. Courses or when a course is offered may change depending on availability.
