Geoffrey T. Fong elected a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences


The latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) world ranking of universities and departments places Waterloo Psychology in the top 100 worldwide. We’re in good company with other Waterloo departments – Architecture, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Geography, Sociology, Statistics, and three of the Engineering departments. Taking inspiration from Marc Andreessen’s “The 55 Unknown Rock Stars in Tech”, CyberNorth Ventures presents “The 55 Rock Stars of Waterloo”, a list of innovators in idea creation and community support.
#48 from the list of Rock Stars is Michaela Angemeer, a 4th year Honours student in Psychology.

The Faculty of Arts hosted its third annual 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) heat on March 12 with 15 graduate students competing in a tight race. A strong advocate for 3MT, Dean Douglas Peers likened the calibre of research presented by Arts students to the 3MT National Competition last year where he was a judge.

Prof. Geoffrey Fong received an award from the American Cancer Society for his outstanding research contribution.
