Students who want to study psychology must first apply and be accepted to the University of Waterloo.

The entry programs for Psychology in the Faculty of Arts (BA) are Honours Arts or Honours Arts and Business. The entry program for Psychology in the Faculty of Science (BSc) is Life Sciences.

Students at the University of Waterloo are not admitted directly to the psychology major in the first year. Students are first admitted to their Faculty (either Science or Arts) and are admitted to Psychology after first year.
