William M. Tatham Centre (TC)

  • Located near the main entrance of Waterloo’s campus and is the home of Co-operative Education (CE), the Centre for Career Action (CCA) and many more Co-operative and Experiential Education (CEE) services for students.
  • Serves both co-op students through the employment process and non-co-op students (regular, graduating, alumni, and part-time) through career development.
  • The largest building dedicated to such services at a Canadian university.
  • Approximately 59,000 interviews are conducted each year by more than 6,000 recruiters.

Book a room at TC for study purposes

Waterloo students with a valid Watcard can book an interview room at the TC for study purposes.


  • Outside of employer interview periods, any time between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
  • During final exams, any time between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

How to book a room:

  • Sign in at the Information Centre in the TC
  • Leave your Watcard with the staff in exchange for the room key
  • Maximum of three students per room
  • Each student using the room must be signed in and out

The Information Centre is located on the ground level of the TC. If you have general questions, ask the customer relations representatives at the Information Centre for assistance.

Centre for Career Action

The Centre for Career Action is located on the ground level of the TC (1214). You can visit the Centre for career advice and career development guidance.

Centre for Career Action's support focuses on:

  • answering general questions about career resources and services
  • providing information about career planning and the job search
  • providing sign-up sheets for group discussions
  • scheduling appointments with career advisors
  • providing graduating student information packages

Career Action hours:

  • Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
