Olaf Naese Retirement Party

Please join us as we celebrate Olaf Naese's 38-year career at Waterloo. 

Olaf's fruitful career spanned many roles through a number of organizational changes. He first started working at UWaterloo in 1976 as assistant manager of the University of Waterloo Arts Centre. Then in 1979, was hired as liaison co-ordinator in Co-ordination and Placement (the former name of CECA). Olaf ran the co-op student orientation (organizing and conducting the classes for all six faculties’ first year co-ops).

In 1995, Olaf became the communications and public relations administrator for CECA. Following a brief run as operations manager, Olaf became well known as the CECA communications specialist, responding to hundreds, if not thousands, of emails from campus partners every year. He has set the bar high as an on-campus employer, having personally hired over 100 co-op students in his career.

Those interested in celebrating Olaf’s esteemed career and retirement are welcomed to drop in on April 8. RSVP not required.
