There is often a negative perception of the continuous round. Students might assume that the jobs offered in the continuous round are not as valuable as those offered in the first interview cycle. There is also the pressing fear of not landing employment for the upcoming work term. However, did you know that there are a variety of benefits that the continuous round offers?
Last month, eager students leaped at the opportunity to network with more than 265 potential employers at the Partners for Employment (P4E), Career Fair. This event took place in the Manulife Sports Complex at RIM Park, with over 3,000 students attending – almost half were UWaterloo students.
The Further Education Fair will be held on Monday, October 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the SLC Great Hall. This fair is your chance to explore post-degree options and meet staff and faculty from more than 90 institutions across Canada and abroad.
These representatives will provide information and answer your questions about career options, graduate school admission requirements, program specifics and application procedures and deadlines.
What goes on in TC day-to-day you ask? How do employers get set up in their respective interview rooms? How do the correct students get paged to their interviews? How does manning the call centres work?
This is all the work of Interview Day Services at TC.
