Admission average
Minimum cumulative university average of 70%.
If you have not taken university-level mathematics, biology, chemistry, and English courses, we'll accept high school courses in those subjects (provided you successfully completed them in the last five years). If they were not taken within the last five years, you'll have to update those courses before we can consider your application for admission.
Required courses
- Biology 4U -- A minimum grade of 70 is required
- Chemistry 4U -- A minimum grade of 70 is required
- Any Grade 12 U English -- A minimum grade of 70 is required
- Any Grade 12 U Mathematics -- A minimum grade of 70 is required

Transfer credits
If you receive an offer of admission, we'll assess you for possible transfer credit using the course outlines (syllabi) you provided. The transfer credit you receive will depend on when you took the course, the course content, and the grade you earned in the course. You can receive up to 10.0 units (equivalent to 20 courses) towards your Waterloo degree. Please refer to our transfer credit policies for further information.
