Recreation and Sport Business grad at work
Join the multi-billion dollar recreation industry and learn how to design, deliver, and manage the programs and services that help people live happier, healthier lives.

Playing intermural sports with your friends. Watching a live hockey game. Hiking in a conservation area. Working out at your local gym. Anything you do in your free time that isn’t work or school. These all represent recreation and leisure activities. And they’re probably some of the things that bring you the most joy in your life. Did you know they’re also an important part of what makes you and your community healthy – physically, socially, and emotionally?

The best part? There are thousands of jobs centred around organizing, programming, and managing these types of activities. Jobs where you get to make peoples' lives better – while also pursuing a career path you'll love.

Choose one of three majors when you apply.

  1. Recreation and Leisure Studies: examine leisure and its relationship to health and well-being.
  2. Recreation and Sport Business: gain a solid foundation in sport and recreation combined with business and management skills.
  3. Therapeutic Recreation: develop expertise to enhance the overall quality of life for individuals and communities.
