Honours Arts 2nd year course requirements

Need some guidance on which courses to choose in your second year? The information on this page will help you if you're declaring a major for Fall 2025. If you are an Arts and Business student, follow the course advice on this chart.

Each section is designed to show you the 5 courses you should add to your schedule for Fall 2025 and Winter 2026. The Schedule of Classes will list courses offered but will not be updated until mid-April.

The suggestions on this page build on the Prospective Major Chart provided for you in your first year. If you did not complete the required first-year courses for your major, consult with your major department directly about course selection advice.

If you intend to complete a minor during your academic career, once you have successfully completed one or two courses in the minor course requirements, submit a plan modification form with approvals from your advisors to add the minor to your plan. This is important since courses are often reserved for students in a major or minor, and you risk not being enrolled in your required courses when you need them. Please speak to the applicable minor advisor if you have questions about this.
