The Vault, One King West, Toronto, ON

You're invited to a unique vodka tasting in a luxurious historic bank vault!

Pearl Sullivan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, invites you and a guest to a special educational vodka tasting event at this distinguished location in Toronto with your fellow Waterloo Engineering classmates.

Katherine Koszarny Vellinga (BASc '92) and John Vellinga (BASc '91) with their premium vodkas: Slava and Zirkova
This highly rated tutored tasting is an entertaining and educational exploration of the world of vodka. Experience the different styles while discovering the origins and history of vodka and the techniques of vodka making.

This unique program combines learning, appreciation and fun! John Vellinga (BASc '91, Systems Design), President and founder of Slava and Zirkova Vodka and Dragon’s Den Viewers’ Choice Award winner, will be personally presenting the event. While at uWaterloo, John was EngSoc President and co-founder of the Waterloo Engineering Endowment Foundation. John runs the company with his wife, Katherine Koszarny Vellinga (BASc '92, Systems Design), who likes to joke that she's now a vodka baroness.
