UPDATE: As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the University of Waterloo is taking steps to limit the spread of the virus in our community. With caution and concern for our alumni, we have made the difficult decision to move your class Reunion events online. While we can’t reconnect in the way we planned in person on campus, we hope you will join us for a variety of virtual class reunion events on September 25 and 26, 2020.
Welcome to your class reunion!
The 5, 10, 15 and 20-year anniversary class reunion in 2020 is for the Waterloo Engineering classes of 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015.
You will find detailed information about your upcoming reunion on these pages (NOTE: invitations will only be e-mailed, NOT mailed). We hope that you will be able to attend your reunion to reconnect with your classmates, your professors, your Faculty, and your University. You will also have an opportunity to learn how the campus has changed since you graduated as well as meet current students and learn about current student life on campus.
Note: the Management Sciences 50th Anniversary Celebration has been postponed until June 4, 2021. For more information, check out the full Management Sciences 50th Anniversary Celebration program.

(45 minutes for lecture with 15 min Q&A)
"Economic Outlook: In the Shadows of the Pandemic"
Professor LARRY SMITH
BA 1968, Economics
MA 1975, Economics
Our world faces a truly unprecedented combination of circumstances: global pandemic, a concurrently sharp economic contraction, war-scale government intervention, soaring debt levels, interest rates at 400-year lows, a stock market that had been priced for perfection, massive social disruption and the technology sector built on shifting sands. What does the immediate future hold?
See the legendary Professor Larry Smith deliver one of his famous addresses. You'll feel like a student all over again in DC 1351, the classroom where you may have taken one or more of Larry's economics courses.
Can't wait to hear Prof. Smith speak at Reunion? Check out his outrageously popular TEDxUW talk, "Why you will fail to have a great career", which has over 6.7 million views.
