WIN Intellectual Property Series: IP Case Study

A case study which explores aspects of how to use the main forms of Intellectual Property (IP) protection to commercialize technology. This is an interactive case study that allows the participants to experience a realistic situation where they get to see how IP can be applied to protect and commercialize a potentially valuable technology created by a group of university students.

This workshop is being delivered via WebEx. If you do not already have the WebEx app or browser installed, you will be prompted to do so to join the meeting.

We will start the series with an introduction to entrepreneurship support resources available to graduate students on the UW campus and in the Region of Waterloo. You will learn more about on-campus program called CONCEPT from our guest speaker, Carly. You will hear the story behind the creation of Mirexus Biotechnology Inc., and finally, you will learn some basic concepts of entrepreneurial business analysis from Oleg Stukalov.
