WE Innovate

WE Innovate is the year's biggest showcase of Waterloo Engineering innovation. Our world class researchers will be displaying emerging research in engineering - cutting edge technology that will shape the world of tomorrow. 

Industry partners, students and anyone passionate about innovation is welcome to attend. The event will be hosted in the student design centre of Engineering 5 on campus. Last year's event showcased more than 50 exhibitors.

Light refreshments will be served.

CelluForce-Waterloo Design Competition

The inaugural CelluForce-Waterloo Design Competition will feature 20 teams of third-year nanotechnology engineering students presenting innovative applications of nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC). Used for a wide variety of consumer and industrial products in sectors ranging from healthcare and cosmetics to energy storage and generation, NCC technology offers considerable benefit to our world.

Max Levchin, CEO of AffirmMax Levchin is the CEO of Affirm, the next generation financial services company offering consumer credit at the point of sale. He is Chairman of Glow, a women's reproductive health application. Both companies were created and launched from Max Levchin's San Francisco based innovation lab, "HVF".

2014 Toyota High School EV Challenge

Cars at the 2013 EV ChallengeThe 2014 Toyota Electric Vehicle Challenge demands high school students design and build their own electric car.
