To be eligible for admission, you need either a three-year or four-year undergraduate university degree (Bachelor of Arts or equivalent) with a minimum of six units in the social sciences, including seven prerequisite courses from the Renison University College curriculum or their equivalents

Program requirements

This program is offered through Renison University College, one of Waterloo's on-campus University Colleges. To be eligible for admission, you need a three- or four-year Bachelor of Arts or equivalent from an accredited institution with a minimum of six units in the social sciences, including 10 courses from the Renison University College curriculum or their equivalents.

General requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses, including all required courses.
  • Grade 12 U or M courses must be completed through schools that are accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
  • Admission averages depend on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available. The range listed above is based on previous years.
