Co-op is what makes Waterloo Pharmacy unique: we’re the only co-operative education pharmacy school in Canada. Offering a co-op program is challenging and requires the support of the pharmacist community all across the country. Without employers to consistently hire students and offer invaluable learning opportunities, our program would not be possible.

I’ve been in this scenario many times and I imagine you have too. You have a question or concern about co-op so you log in to WaterlooWorks and see the list of contacts on your menu page. There’s a person’s name beside each job title but the title is abbreviated and you don’t know what any of them stand for. You pick one and hope for the best.

Co-op Connection: making friends in a new city

Co-op opens up many amazing opportunities all around the world. In the past, students have stayed closer to campus for their work terms in Toronto as well as explored other parts of Canada such as Nunavut. Others have worked in Massachusetts and New York in the U.S. and even overseas in countries such as Kenya.

Registration open for co-op fee focus groups

Thank you to everyone who took last week’s co-op fee survey. We received an amazing 3,900+ responses! The Co-op Fee Comprehensive Review team is now inviting all co-op students to participate in focus groups.

These focus groups are an opportunity to discuss into your questions about the co-op fee with fellow students and representatives from the Co-op Fee Comprehensive Review team.
