Representing students in co-operative education

Have you ever had a question about the initiatives being taken by Co-operative Education? Chances are a member of the Co-op Student Council (CSC) has brought it up for discussion. “CSC is designed to bridge the gap between Co-operative and Experiential Education, the Federation of Students (Feds) and students” say Hannah Beckett, Feds Co-op Affairs Commissioner.

Website launched for co-op fee transparency and updates

Students want to know how their co-op fee is spent.

In July 2017, a project team was officially established to take a deeper look at the co-op fee (we're calling it a co-op fee "deep dive"). One of the project goals is to increase transparency around how the co-op fee funds are spent. This week, the project team launched a digital space for students to engage with for project clarity and updates.

Co-op student embraces work terms in the North

Co-op students who consider travelling for their work terms often picture themselves in a warm and sunny location. That wasn’t the case for University of Waterloo Biology alumnus Andrew Vermeer (BSc ’12), who decided to venture up to Nunavut’s Baffin Island.
