Home-schooled applicants

This page covers admission requirements for students who have been enrolled in a home school program.

Admission requirements and procedures vary so determine your applicant type based on your current academic status.

How to apply

All home-schooled applicants submit their applications through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all supporting documents, including transcripts with mid-term or predicted grades, are submitted by the stated deadlines.  We require a detailed outline of your home-school curriculum.  For more information, please click here.

Course requirements

All applicants are required to complete subjects in Mathematics (including Calculus), Chemistry, Physics, and English.  Due to the unique nature of home-school programs, it can be difficult to assess the level of preparation.  For this reason, additional requirements, such as standardized test scores, may also be requested.

Please contact our Engineering Admissions Office for more information.

Additional requirements

All applicants to engineering programs will be asked to submit a personal profile, called the Admission Information Form

Applicants to Software Engineering are also required to have experience developing well-structured, modular programs. For more information, please click here.

If your first language is not English, you may need to meet our English language requirements.
