Athletics and Recreation Services

Employee affiliated memberships for intramurals and sport clubs, aquatics, first aid, conditioning, fitness and wellness, and varsity athletics.

Chaplains

Chaplains represent eleven different faith traditions, and we strive to be a dynamic presence on campus, providing support to students, faculty, staff and the community.

Conflict Management and Human Rights Office

Services for persons dealing with conflict, human rights issues, or workplace harassment.

Legal and Immigration Services

Legal guidance and support on any legal matters related to the University of Waterloo. LIS also provides notary and commissioner services and visa and immigration support.

Office of Indigenous Relations

The Office of Indigenous Relations works collaboratively on and off-campus to advance the goals of the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, creating a long-term vision for the University, grounded in decolonization.

Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion Anti-racism

The Equity Office at the University of Waterloo works with students, faculty and staff across campus to advance equity through evidence-based policies, practices and programs.

Occupational Health

Support for employees in leading a healthy and balanced life, including management of sick leave, return to work arrangements, and workplace accommodations.

Safety Office

Consultation and support on environmental and occupational health and safety matters. The Safety Office serves as the primary resource for health and safety training for staff, faculty, and students in a variety of areas.

The School of Optometry and Vision Sciences

The School of Optometry and Vision sciences has world-class Optometry Clinics and is oneof Canada's largest, best-equipped eye care centres that offers a full range of services in two convenient locations.

Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office

The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO) supports all members of the Waterloo campus community who have experienced, or been impacted, by sexual violence. The office hosts many learning workshops and events as part of its public education and outreach.

Special Constable Service

Upholds University policies and performs law enforcement duties to maintain a safe campus environment for our students, employees, and visitors.

UW Fitness

Services for comprehensive fitness appraisals, small group, and personal training. All programs are specifically designed so that you can successfully achieve your fitness goals.


Associations & Union:

Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo (FAUW)

Represents and protects the interests of regular faculty members in a wide range of areas (e.g. working conditions, tenure and promotion, compensation and benefits).

University of Waterloo Staff Association (UWSA)

Represents, protects, and advocates for the
interests of University support staff in employment relations issues (e.g. working conditions, committee membership, compensation and benefits).

Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE)

Represents the interests of unionized staff members in the Food Services and Plant Operations departments.
