Go CODE Girl provides an exciting opportunity for girls in grades 9-11 across Ontario to learn about the exciting world of coding and software development, and discover opportunities in computing and engineering fields.

Tentative Agenda

10:00 am Check-in 

University of Waterloo

10:30 am Welcome

Get to know everyone! Make yourself a nametag pixel by pixel. 

11:00 am First activity

Coding is basically giving a computer instructions to do a task for you. We're going to delve right in by calculating a tip and writing silly stories. 

12:30 pm Lunch
 

A free lunch (sandwiches, chips, pop, and fresh fruit) will be provided for all participants.

1:30 pm Second activity

Time for some games! Let's make sure that we create games that will be enjoyable for the human player. 

3:00 pm Parent/guardian showcase

Your parent/guardian is invited to come see what you learned today and find out what's next on the Code Squad journey!
