Management Sciences professor recognized as a Rising Star

Management Sciences professor Sibel Alumur Alev was recently awarded the Charles ReVelle Rising Star in Location Analysis award at the 2017 INFORMS annual meeting in Houston, Texas.

The prestigious Rising Star award is awarded biannually to a person "who has made a significant contribution to location analysis research and displays the potential to continue to do so."  Alumur Alev was honoured for her research excellence in hub network design, reverse logistics, and supply chain network design.

The Charles ReVelle Rising Star award is named after the late Charles ReVelle, a Johns Hopkins University professor who is recognized as the creator of location analysis.
