McPhee honoured as new EIC fellow

John McPhee, a systems design engineer professor, will be inducted as a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) on March 12  in

Ottawa at the institute’s annual awards banquet.

McPhee, the NSERC/Toyota/Maplesoft Industrial Research Chair, is one of 20 engineers to be recognized with the prestigious fellowship for his contributions to engineering in Canada.

Established in 1887, the EIC is a federation of 11 Canadian Engineering Societies. It promotes strong continuing education standards, recognizes meritorious individual engineers, records Canadian engineering history, holds conferences on Climate Change Technology and provides a policy advisory voice through the Partnership Group for Science and Engineering and the Canadian Engineering Leadership Forum.
