Much of the learning in this workshop will occur through designing and conducting three mini-lessons, receiving verbal and written feedback from group participants who will have served as students in the mini-lesson, and reviewing a video of the mini-lesson. There will also be sessions covering topics such as elements of good teaching, setting objectives, assessment strategies, student learning styles, teaching models and collaborative activity. All of the activities will be designed to reflect the teaching and learning culture in Waterloo Engineering. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Due to the limited capacity (maximum 5 participants), we may not be able to accept all those interested in this offering. However, if there is sufficient demand, we will offer the workshop again in spring 2014. If interested in participating in this Workshop, contact Kathy Becker as soon as possible.
