Igor Ivkovic, a systems design engineering lecturer, is the recipient of the Engineering Society Teaching Excellence Award for the 2017 fall term.
The award recognizes a teaching instructor (defined as a professor, lecturer or laboratory instructor), who has used non-conventional teaching techniques, provided experiential learning opportunities and demonstrated commitment and dedication towards ensuring academic success for students.
Ivkovic, also a Waterloo alumnus, received a record number of nominations, many which described his efforts to go above and beyond to ensure the success of his students.
