As a key partner in AquaHacking, the Water Institute will be hosting an information session/mixer for interested students on April 3. Students will have a chance to meet last year’s finalists, meet other like-minded individuals and have their questions answered about AquaHacking 2018.
AquaHacking Challenge – a multi-stage hackathon with a focus on developing functional, marketable innovations to address the issues facing our Great Lakes. The competition mobilizes interdisciplinary teams of programmers, scientists, entrepreneurs, environmentalists and other creative minds to develop solutions that will positively impact the Great Lakes. The top three winning teams receive a spot in a local incubator and share $50,000 in prize money. Last year, the five teams that competed in the finals were all made up of University of Waterloo students and alumni.
