An event marking the twenty-seventh anniversary of the École Polytechnique de Montréal tragedy honouring the women who lost their lives and commemorating the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

10:35 a.m. Feridun Hamdullahpur, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Waterloo 

10:45 a.m. Mary Wells, Associate Dean, Outreach and Professor, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering

10:50 a.m. Candle vigil takes place. Candles are lit and information is shared about each of the women who lost their lives

10:55 a.m. Moment of silence observed
