Together with their families, we invite you to celebrate Kish and Helena Hahn’s lives, work and contributions to the University of Waterloo. Celebrations will include a memorial tree unveiling on campus with a light reception in the Science Teaching Complex to follow.
Kish and Helena Hahn arrived at the University of Waterloo in 1962 and their long careers with the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science respectively followed. They played an important role in shaping the University of Waterloo that we know today. Helena worked in many roles across the Faculty of Science and served as the president of the University of Waterloo Staff Association. Kish was a founding professor of the Department of Systems Design Engineering and worked for years as the admissions director of the program.
