Waterloo Engineering graduates were recipients of awards presented by the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce at its annual Business Excellence Awards Gala.
The gala recognizes chamber members who have made exceptional contributions through their involvement and leadership in the community.
This year's winners include Armen Bakirtzian (BASc ’08, mechatronics engineering) in the Young Professional category for co-founding Medical Innovation Xchange; Friendlier, founded by Kayli Dale and Jacquie Hutchings (both BASc '20, chemical engineering), in the New Business category; and Four All Ice Cream, founded by Ajoa Mintah (BASc '01, chemical engineering), in the Small Business of the Year category.
