Founder and CEO of Clearpath Robotics, Matt Rendall (Mechatronics '08, MBET '09), is in the running for this years' BDC Young Entrepreneur Award.
Ten finalists were chosen with turning-point projects from across Canada, and are competing for the $100,000 grand prize and second prize of $25,000 in consulting services. The award contest is organized by the Business Development Bank of Canada, and was created to reward Canadian entrepreneurs aged 18-35. Nominees must demonstrate that their company has reached a turning point, and propose innovative solutions to ensure growth.
Rendall's turning-point project, “Advanced Manufacturing,” will represent Ontario in the finals of the 2015 BDC Young Entrepreneur Award. The project will help Clearpath Robotics develop a new series of autonomous mobile robots that will take on the sometimes‑risky and tedious materials‑handling jobs in warehouse operations. Aiming to increase warehouse safety, boost process throughput and increase ROI is the goal.
To claim the BDC Young Entrepreneur Award $100,000 grand prize and fund this project, Rendall needs votes from Canadians coast‑to‑coast. Vote online to support Rendall and his team at Clearpath.
