Faizul Mohee, a civil engineering doctoral candidate, has been honoured with the inaugural Ontario Society of Professional Engineers President’s

Faizul Mohee
Award in the Young Professional category. The award recognizes an exceptional Ontario Engineer who has served as an advocate for the engineering community through various roles during academic studies and following graduation. Mohee was presented with the award at OSPE's annual general meeting held May 6.

Additionally, he received an OSPE scholarship in recognition of his strong academic record and demonstrated commitment to his profession and community. Each year the OSPE awards just two scholarships to Ontario graduate students.

Mohee's doctoral research had been supervised by civil engineering professor Khaled Soudki who died in September 2013. He is now working with faculty members Adil Al-Mayah and Alan Plumtree.
