Talal Alharbi, an electrical engineering doctoral candidate, and his supervisor Kankar Bhattacharya, an electrical and computer engineering professor, were honoured with a Best Conference Paper Award at the 2015 IEEE Electrical Power and Energy Conference held last October in London, ON. The paper they co-authored is entitled Optimal Energy Management and Smart Charging of PEVs in Isolated Microgrids.
The annual conference provides an international forum for the presentation of peer-reviewed power and energy research and development.
